Hi!
Sorry for making another topic, I just keep thinking of questions.
Can mice be litter trained? At least to some extent?
Will they poo/pee anywhere/anytime? Like if you were to take them out to play, would they just go whenever they wanted instead of doing so in their cage?
What should healthy poo/pee look like?
Is it an easy clean up? Hard clean up? How would I spot clean this?
Thanks!

I'll try to answer this one for you too, no I don't believe its possible to litter train mice. I researched it extensively myself and learned, and have now experienced, mice go everywhere uncontrollably. They do not have the ability to only go in their cages if you bring them out. You will find most pee and poo on the wheel if they are wheel runners and its not very difficult to clean off. As part of my daily spot clean routine I clean their wheels using a hard bristle scrub brush and Dawn dish soap. As for elsewhere in the cage that becomes a guessing game because as stated they go all over but they do rely on their scent marks to navigate so you wouldn't want to disrupt that if possible. I can't quite explain healthy pee/poo versus unhealthy because I have never seen what unhealthy looks like but I would imagine runny, watery stool would be a red flag. Hope that helps

No litter training for mice unfortunately as long a the pee is not super dark or red it is good poo should be firm not dry or supper runny and again not red.
