Found him stuck in my window sill, I figured he's been their a while cause I was out of town. I put him is a little glass enclosure and gave him some food from my pet rat (close enough?) I noticed he really didn't mind me, and even eats right out of my hand. Does mind me petting him either. I think he's a mouse but I can't find any pictures online that look close enough? He has a really short tail for a mouse, and is almost entirely fur. Super cute, I know. I'm planning on letting him get some food tonight and kicking him out tomorrow, figured he needs it, as he could have been stuck down their as long as 3 days. I am curious however, does anyone know exactly what he is? I'm almost thinking since he's so docile and weird looking that he might be some sort of released hamster, as I live around half a mile away from a small neighborhood. I'm in northern Minnesota if that helps anything. On a side note, If he is some sorta released pet, I've got one cage that is sadly recently vacant (Rip nibbles.)

Update: I just made a short youtube video of it. Here's the link: youtu.be/3OvKfHAcnlYI don't think I'll get notifications through this forum thing though, can you just leave a comment on what it is? And should I just let it go or is that a no go? Thanks.

Hey so sorry this is late, you can set up notifications for the forum, but the video you posted seems to be down.

I’ve done a bit of research and I think that your mystery animal could be a field vole. I’m not sure why it’s so friendly though.
