Does anyone know if this hay is safe to use in a mouse enclosure?
The ingredients are: Timothy Grass Hay, Chamomile, Lavender, Lemon Balm, Clover.
I read somewhere that Chamomile isn't okay for mice? And how about lavender? Thank you for any insight!

I don't think chamomile is all that bad for mice the studies I read said it helped their digestive system. Though when given as an essential oil it irritated skin so that might be where you heard that. Lavender on the other hand is used as a natural rodent repellent. Not sure if it is safe for them to ingest but I wouldn't give it to them anyway since they don't like the smell. everything else checks out though!

Thank you! We were looking for a softer orchard grass/hay and this brand was recommended so wanted to get a 2nd opinion but couldn't find anything on the specific hay itself. Looking into the herbs though is a great idea! I would prefer just hay/orchard grass alone but all the brands are so poky and sharp!

If you're looking for a softer hay to mix in Oxbow Orchard Grass Hay is pretty soft from my experience (well, for hay, at least).
