Anyone know how these would affect pet mice if used in the same house, not the same room, as the cage is? Someone wants to adopt one of our baby mice but states they are avid essential oil users and know and understand not to use them around rodents. I also previously used diffusers and oil blends but stopped about a year ago when I started the rescue. Now I am 2nd guessing it. I can't find any concrete information on if essential oils in a diffuser are toxic to small animals and am not sure now what made me think so in the first place. Does anyone know? Any information would be appreciated!

Well it would depend on the essential oil in the diffuser to determine if it was toxic. As long as there isn't a considerable amount of the stuff being inhaled by the mice it should be safe. the worry with things like candles or diffusers is that it would hurt their delicate lungs.
